Building Defect Diagnosis and Remedial Action Advice | Leaking Roof | Southampton | Hampshire

We were recently approached to look at a client's leaking roof in central Southampton. The building had long suffered with persistent roof leaks, costing the landlord money and time.  Several repairs had been attempted with varying degrees of success.

One of our trained surveyors attended the property and carried out a visual survey as well as a quick and non-distructive thermal imaging scan of the roof to determine where the issues lay.

We produced a detailed defect report for the client, along with suggested solutions. It was decided on balance that the section of roof in question should be replaced entirely. The Client commissioned us to draw up a specification and budget costs for each of the various options. The roof is home to much of the building plant so the opportunity was taken to service this equipment also. 

Rockall Projects were able to draw on our supplier database to suggest several suitable roofing contractors and a Mechanical contractor for the plant element of the work.

The project is now out to tender.
