We were recently contacted by a new client in Chelsea after they had extensive renovation work completed on their London property. Part of the renovation was an upgrade of the insulation to several parts of the house, an upgrade of the heating, electrical, audio visual systems as well as a large extension to the rear.
After several months of significantly higher energy bills than before, as well as quality concerns, the client contacted us.
Following an initial meeting at the property, we carried out a full survey, including using thermal imaging technology to quickly determine areas of defective insulation. The contractor was presented with our report which included thermal and conventional images and returned to the property quickly to put right the defective works.
Rockall also identified several other significant snags which were rectified within the 12 months defect period.
We also took advice from an AV specialist we regularly work with, and they offered valuable advice to ensure the Audio Visual, Security and Lighting Control systems were tailored to our clients requirements.
Our specialist building surveyor returned 2 weeks later to sign off the works and carry out a follow up inspection.
