Rockall Projects have been appointed by Portsmouth NHS Trust to Project Manage the creation of a 12 bedded winter bed pressures ward and the re location of a discharge lounge into new modular facilities.

Due to the very tight programme constraints of 8 weeks this fast track project has taken close co-ordination by Rockall Projects to ensure delivery on time and to budget. The new ward is locked between existing live ward spaces which are operation 24/7 so careful management of the works has been paramount.

The space vacated for the winter bed pressure ward was originally a discharge lounge, this is being moved into a new purposely fitted out temporary building space provided by Portakabin. This was let as a separate contract with Portakabin however the installation duration has run in tandem with the ward fit out.
