We have recently been asked to carry out some snagging on a new housing development in Dorset.  Several of the new home owners were dissatisfied with the level of finish so asked us to carry out an unbiased inspection of their properties. We inspected 7 of the total 12 houses and complied individual reports for each client. An average of over 50 defects per house were found, ranging from minor settlement cracking to more serious missing insulation and plumbing faults.

A meeting was swiftly arranged with the contractor, Rockall attending to represent the clients. When presented with our snagging reports, the contractor agreed to return and attend to the defects found. We agreed solutions for each item as as well as agreeing convenient  times to carry out the remedial works. 

At the time of writing 90% of the works are now completed and we look forward to returning to sign off the completed defects within the next 3 weeks.
